This 2000sf Riverside Drive apartment with panoramic views of the Hudson River was redesigned to accommodate the needs of a modern family. It comprises 2 bedrooms, a playroom/guest bedroom, an office, an open kitchen-dining-living, walk-in-pantry, 2.5 bathrooms and a laundry room.
The clients desire for a contemporary and clean look was emphasized by the pallet of mostly neutrals with only hints of color. Kitchen, dining and living room are an open concept for a family that cherishes gatherings. The whole house was equipped with a state-of-the-art Lutron smart home which includes lights, dimmers and window shades. The hidden TV lift in the Living Room removes the need to center any entertainment around a TV, and such is only visible when used.
State of the art appliances including a dedicated area for wine storage further accentuate the contemporary concept of living. The kitchen, although smaller in footprint, is open and inviting and provides enough daily storage. In addition, a walk-in-pantry was created to remove the storage and cluster from daily routines.
All these design improvements bring this pre-war gem to the modern times and accommodate the needs of a family of four.
